For more than 50 years The Australian Financial Review has been the authority on business, finance and investment news in Australia. It has a reputation for independent, award-winning journalism and is essential reading for Australia’s business and investor community.
I was working as a journalist in the property section of this paper, publishing multiple stories and assisting other journalists.

RLabs, short for the Reconstructed Living Lab, is a global movement and registered Social Enterprise that provides innovative solutions to address various complex problems. RLabs creates an environment where people are empowered to make a difference in the lives of others. The RLabs “main hub” is in Athlone, Cape Town but have activity in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
I was working for RLabs as a consultant and co-creator for their Innovation Lab, which included writing press releases and directing workshops based on media innovation alongside the whole putting every process in place for an innovation lab thing.

At Reese we are focusing on developing new products that will augment the media industry. We learn through research and experimentation with news and digital media economics. I was producing content, plans, documentation and other materials while testing media delivery platforms using a wide array of journalistic, multimedia and business skill. I worked with journalists, computer programmers and designers to develop media prototype with corresponding business strategies and models in this startup environment.
Investigative Journalist for Change Makers Incorporated, University of Queensland
March 2014 - December 2014
ChangeMakers was a journey that encompassed searching, compiling and writing stories based on the experiences of the indigenous students and asylum seekers at Woodridge State High School. The final product was a publication to be distributed throughout the Logan area.
We were nominated for the Premier's Cultural Diversity Media Award and was made a finalist. We Won the Student Publication of the Year through Ossie Awards against all other journalism programs across Australia. Change Makers has also won the regional award for the Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools.
